Basic Chef’s Skills
This is a course for
those who have an understanding of cooking but wish to
increase their skills with a more professional slant. We
will aim to cover bread
making, meat preparation, sauces, filleting fish, shellfish
preparation, pasta, vegetables and pastry. You will need to
bring tea towels, knife, dishcloth, apron,
ingredients. There will be additional costs for students of
£6-9 per week for ingredients.
The first class is a
demonstration only.

Cooking for Dinner Parties
A course designed to
increase your repertoire of dishes suitable for
entertaining and also with a view to making it less of a
chore. Designed to cover starters,
main courses and desserts. Some basic cooking skills are
required. Dishes will include: Goats Cheese Tart, Thai Fish
Cakes, Roast Duck, Sushi, Chocolate Pudding
and Amaretto Trifle.
